“Las políticas cambiarias de Colombia y Perú, y sus efectos en el crecimiento económico del ecuador, período 2000-2014.”

In this research project, the exchange rate policies of Colombia and Peru, and its effects on economic growth of Ecuador. Period 2000-2014, the analysis focuses on exchange rate policies and their instruments which can influence economic growth through the variation of exports and imports and exchange rates of the countries involved. charts, analysis and discussion of results literature and quantitative information is displayed through tables. The content of the research is divided into four chapters as follows: Chapter I, guiding framework, consists of: the approach, formulation of the problem, objectives (general and specific) and corresponding justification and importance to the research project. Chapter II, Theoretical Framework, is structured by three units, which contain concepts, principles and characteristics. In exchange rate policy objectives and instruments points out, defined, systems, and operation of the foreign exchange market, economic growth theories, sources, causes and effects, plus the aggregate supply and demand, the model Engle-Granger defined contains the methodology applied in this work. Chapter III Methodological Framework, which states the research methodology, analysis of exchange rate policy, the behavior of economic growth and the results of the estimation of Engle-Granger model with the interpretation of the results. Chapter IV, where the conclusions that were reached upon completion of this work and the respective recommendations early to give further work defined.
