Итог:This research aimed to develop an educational intervention in oral health to promote the adoption of oral hygiene habits among rural adolescents from Centro de Salud Totoras, located in Achupallas Parish, Alausí Canton, Chimborazo Province, between April and June 2025. The research design employed a quasi-experimental, longitudinal, and prospective approach, utilizing a pre- and post-test design. The instrument was applied to a sample of 37 adolescents aged 12 to 17. Ten days later, an educational intervention on good oral health habits was conducted with the same group, and the instrument was administered again to assess the program's effectiveness. The collected data was tabulated in an Excel spreadsheet and later processed using the SPSS 24 statistical software. The applied tests were Pearson's Chi-Square and McNemar tests, with a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error. The results showed that the educational program had a positive and significant impact, as evidenced by the increase in knowledge levels (p-value = 0.000) and the adoption of positive attitudes (p-value = 0.031). However, regarding the adoption of healthy practices, although positive results were observed, no statistically significant improvement was noted. Conclusion: An educational intervention on dental care was successfully developed, implemented, and evaluated among rural adolescents, yielding results that demonstrate a positive effect on knowledge and the adoption of good oral hygiene habits in the study group.
