الملخص:The main objective of the present research entitled "CHILDREN'S SONGS IN THE STRENGTHENING OF LANGUAGE OF BOYS AND GIRLS OF FIRST OF BASIC OF THE BASIC EDUCATION SCHOOL BENJAMIN FRANKLIN OF THE RIOBAMBA CANTON IN THE ACADEMIC PERIOD 2022", was to analyze the scope of children's songs in children for the development of semantic skills since the area of language is of utmost importance in interpersonal relationships. This research was carried out within a qualitative approach, with a descriptive depth of study and relying on the bibliographic design; information was collected on the variables without manipulating them, finding different characteristics. On the other hand, the fieldwork helped to collect information about a population of 21 students, taking a sample of 12 children and two teachers in first grade. The techniques and instruments used were a survey of the teachers and the observation form involved in person with the children to obtain a close view of the research problem. The results showed that the teachers partially use nursery rhymes and nursery rhymes are a strategy that favors the cognitive, emotional, and practical development of children since they stimulate creativity and strengthen the increase of vocabulary, introducing them to a participatory, communicative, and social world.
