Summary:This research called aquatic activities, and gross motricity in lder adults of the gerontological center of the Chaco canton was carried out in the Pedagogy of Physical Activity and Sport of the Faculty of Human Education Sciences and Technologies of the National University of Chimborazo in the city De Riobamba Ecuador. The general objective was to determine the influence that the systematic practice of aquatic physical activity produces in the recovery of the gross motricity of older adults. This research was held at the gerontological center of the city of Chaco province of Napo. This research has specific objectives to determine whether these activities help improve or stop the deterioration of physical motor activity in older adults. First, to identify the importance of aquatic stimulation in the development of motor activity in older adults. Second, evaluating the gross motor area and finally applying stimulation techniques and exercises that help the development of older adults in the gerontological center of the city of Chaco province of Napo. The problem that gave rise to this research is that Ecuador is a country in the midst of aging. The methodology used is a design, Critical – Prepositive type of quasi-experimental cross-sectional with a population of 50 adults over 60 to 85 years of age from the gerontological center of the city of Chaco province of Napo and a sample of 25 older adults made up of 13 women and 12 men, finally, the research presents the results obtained.
