要約:The research was aimed at determining the importance that a professional graphic designer has in a unit of institutional communication to improve internal and external comunication, en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educacion Humanas y Tecnologias of the Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo during the academic period 2014 – 2015; whose theme was focused in order to improve internal and external institutional comunication between authorities, teachers, students, administrative staff and service that make up the faculty as well as society in general, which began on chapter I describing the goals become achievements, exposing the justification and importace of the topic highlighting the relevance of research, chapter II the theoretical framework established taking into account a specialty of various authors for the construction of scientific theory where literature reference to the independent variable is the institucional comunication and the dependent variable is the professional performance of the graphic designer is done in champer III it highlights the methodological framework explaining the research desing, population and sample, is used as teachnique the poll, observation and interview as tools and guidance and observation forms. Chapter IV refers to the processing of data obtained from the survey interview and observation, to perform statistical tables and charts, explaining through an analysis and interpretation of each of the answers given. Chapert V. conclusions and recommendations that were reached and finally to strengthen the research work, a guide by applicable skills in a communication unit, the same one that contains concepts, learning outcomes and competencies were designed for a graphic communication.
