| Summary: | Abstract Regular physical activity is a protective factor against chronic degenerative diseases, due to the Covid-19 quarantine in which we live has diminished the practice of physical activity. The present investigation was focused on determining the level of physical activity in students of "Rumiñahui" Educational Unit through the application of an IPAQ questionnaire to know the level of activity of students and its influence in the development of online classes. A research methodology of descriptive-explanatory analysis was used for the information collected from the 35 students that make up the 4th grade of the "Rumiñahui" Fiscal Educational Unit. In the results obtained, we observed that low physical activity is the most reported in relation to the gender of the 35 students, the highest index of low activity is in the male gender 15 cases, 68.18% of the total male gender, in relation to the age range the least reported level of physical activity is low physical activity 19 cases, 76% of the total 8 years, 3 cases, 30% of the total 9 years, 8.57% of the total. The statistic for samples gave values with a mean of 1.57 with a ± 0.815 in a population of 35 students with a sig.≤,000., Reaching the conclusion that there is a low level of activity in students, noting that there is a lack of awareness towards the practice of physical activity during or after the development of virtual classes.
