| Summary: | ABSTRACT: The analyzed scientific research establishes that respiratory exercise generates a positive effect at the respiratory level in adult patients with lung cancer, said the positive impact on the improvement of health as it is a non-invasive method that can highly influence the person's quality of life. Having a low economic cost and presenting benefits such as increasing the functional capacity in all its systems and particularly in the respiratory, psychological, and social, which increases the years of independent, active life and improves the quality of life, it should be considered that long-term moderate-intensity exercises produce more significant benefits for not less than one year. However, it is essential to mention that although not all studies have shown that regular exercise can improve the symptoms presented by patients with lung cancer, also in adults, the degenerative process is much more evident active, which is imperative the need to incorporate exercise gradually and progressively, which must be carried out in a controlled manner and in which an intensity of 80% of the ventilatory capacity is worked on, thus improving cardiovascular health, VO 2 max, and lung function. The combination of respiratory physiotherapy and physical exercise improves functional ability and muscle strength, as well as at any time in the evolution of this type of cancer. It can enhance dyspnea, effort capacity, and quality of life, assuming that appropriate precautions should be taken. In addition, according to the WHO, we must consider that the patient should be introduced to these workouts gradually because not everyone can have the same tolerance to exercise. Compared to the traditional treatment of lung cancer, physiotherapy has been covering a large territory due to the multiple benefits it has provided to these patients. One of the main benefits is strengthening the respiratory muscles through the different breathing techniques, including exercises that help control the disease and their quality of life. However, the lack of availability and training of physiotherapists in this area makes it difficult for the patient to undergo therapy |
