Özet:The research "Emotional intelligence in the educational process of the students of the major of Psychopedagogy of the National University of Chimborazo" was raised to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and the educational process of the students of the major of Psychopedagogy of the National University of Chimborazo, emotional intelligence is essential for personal growth and social interactions of individuals in the environment that implies the ability to recognize and manage both their own emotions and those of others. On the other hand, the educational process is understood as a set of systematized experiences that facilitate learning and the integral development of the educational environment. The adapted methodology was quantitative in nature, with a non-experimental design with a correlational scope, by objective, primary, bibliographical place, field, and transversal time. The sample of interest was the students in the fifth and sixth semesters of the major in Psychopedagogy. The psychometric technique of the Emotional Intelligence Scale (TMMS-24) and a questionnaire (ad hoc) about the dimensions that make up the quality of the educational process were used in the research work. Both techniques used quantitative scales. The data analysis was carried out in Excel, and statistical graphs were created to represent the dimensions of emotional intelligence and the quality of the educational process. The SPSS program was used to correlate the dimensions. The findings revealed a relationship between the dimensions of emotional attention with methodologies, emotional clarity with teaching resources, and emotional repair with the teacher-student relationship.
