| description | ABSTRACT The objective of this research work is to determine the effect that the Human Development Bonus has on the job offer of heads of poor families in Ecuador in 2018. In addition, it is intended to know the specific characterization of the variables that influence the labor supply of this segment of the population. Based on the assumption that leisure cannot be considered a normal good for the poor population, the multinomial logistic model was applied to determine the probability that heads of families do not work, they work from 1 to 39 hours, they work 40 hours or they work more than 40 hours a week. The structure of this research is divided into chapters: Chapter I presents the problem of the study and the objectives of the work; Chapter II presents the analysis of previous studies and the theoretical basis of the research, addressing concepts and theories related to the aforementioned variables; Chapter III establishes the methodology applied in the research and shows the analysis and discussion of the results obtained. Geovanny Armas Pesántez ENGLISH PROFESSOR C.C. 060277330RESUMEN El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo determinar el efecto que tiene el Bono de Desarrollo Humano en la oferta laboral de los jefes de hogar de las familias pobres del Ecuador en el año 2018. Además, se pretende conocer la caracterización específica de las variables que influyen en la oferta de trabajo de este segmento de la población. Partiendo del supuesto de que el ocio no puede ser considerado un bien normal para la población pobre, se aplicó el modelo logístico multinomial para determinar la probabilidad de que los jefes de hogar no trabajen, trabajen de 1 a 39 horas, trabajen 40 horas o trabajen más de 40 horas a la semana. La estructura de esta investigación se da por capítulos: en el Capítulo I se expone la problemática del estudio y los objetivos que tiene el trabajo, en el Capítulo II se presenta el análisis de estudios previos y la fundamentación teórica de la investigación, abordando conceptos y teorías relacionadas a las variables antes mencionadas, en el Capítulo III se establece la metodología aplicada en la investigación y se muestra el análisis y discusión de los resultados obtenidos.
