总结:ABSTRACT: Respiratory rehabilitation is a physical training program created to reduce the risk of pulmonary affectations and morbidity in the population, thus improving the quality of life under the control of a multidisciplinary health team which generates benefits in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The objective of this research work is to study the respiratory rehabilitation intervention in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and the positive effects caused by physical exercise on respiratory physiology. This work was carried out through a bibliographic review, through articles of scientific evidence extracted from databases such as: Scielo, PubMed, Svier, Ccience Direct, PEDro, where 100 scientific articles selected for their respective assessment on the PEDro methodological scale in which should be equal to or greater than 6 points and 35 articles chosen to be studied, these correspond to clinical trials which allowed demonstrating the high value of importance of respiratory rehabilitation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease which limits several nutritional factors, psychological, educational, physical training and risk control to prolong patient survival, which is why the respiratory rehabilitation program contributes to the improvement of blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation within normal levels as well as psychological support , nutritional, physical activity providing an optimal lifestyle for patients suffering from said disease.
