Шошго нэмэх | Тойм: | The main objective of this research is to determine the relationship between periodontal disease, preterm pregnancy and low birth weight of children in the Provincial General Teaching Hospital Riobamba in patients aged between 18 and 35 years. A periodontal examination was performed on 50 women, which was carried out using a periodontal catheter. The gingival index, the severity index of periodontal disease, as well as the childbirth week and the weight of the children were recorded. The results obtained show that the distribution of periodontal disease according to age is greater between 20-29 years with 56%, the total incidence of periodontal disease in the Hospital was 80%, according to the gingival index The most frequent was grade 1 with 29%, while the most prevalent periodontal disease was mild in 34%, the low weight of the children was presented in 80%. It was determined that the relationship between periodontal disease, preterm pregnancy and low birth weight children at the Provincial General Teaching Hospital Riobamba was 64%. |
