Итог:This feasibility study examines the creation of a living room furniture factory in the City of Macas, Morona Santiago Province. Initially, customer dissatisfaction with local furniture stores was investigated using the SERVQUAL model to identify areas for service improvement. Based on the factors contributing to dissatisfaction, a product was proposed with a modern design, five-piece set configuration, and dark colors. The findings indicate that 27.72% of the population is willing to purchase such furniture, projecting an annual sales volume of 476 units. The daily production capacity is estimated at two furniture sets. The technical study outlines the project’s engineering, production process, and resources required for operationalization. Financially, the project entails an initial investment of $141,676.92. Key evaluation metrics include a Net Present Value (NPV) of $2,539.65 at a 16% discount rate, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 17.55%, a Minimum Acceptable Rate of Return (MARR) of 11.10%, and a payback period of 4 years and 9 months. The benefit-cost ratio of 1.16 indicates that for every dollar invested, $0.16 is returned as profit. In conclusion, the project is deemed financially andoperationally feasible.
