Los sistemas de producción agrícola y su incidencia en la calidad de vida de la parroquia Huambi, cantón Sucúa, provincia de Morona Santiago

Agriculture in rural communities is essential for reducing poverty and providing families with a livelihood. Responsible management and application of agricultural production systems can greatly benefit the lives of farmers and people living in these areas. This paper analyzes how agricultural production systems affect the quality of life in Huambi Parish, Sucúa Canton, Morona Santiago Province. Two hypotheses were presented using the hypothetical-deductive method. To test the veracity of these hypotheses, a sample of 323 farmers from Huambi were used, who were surveyed to obtain information about their economic income, living conditions, whether they have access to education, the type of agricultural technologies, the level of knowledge in the proper management of natural resources, the amount that each farmer produces, and key products. Using the SPSS program, the results indicate that there is a relationship between these two variables, which are agricultural production systems and quality of life. In addition, it was found that farmers in the Parish lack knowledge of the management of effective and sustainable production systems, and inadequate agricultural practices have affected the environment and their economy, which, in other words, has caused their income to decrease.
