Shrnutí:ABSTRACT The present research work had the purpose of determining the nursing interventions in patients with diabetic feet. It is a clinical alteration induced by maintained hyperglycemia, potentially devastating, that requires self-care to avoid complications; that is why the present study was based on Dorothea Orem's theory. Forty-five bibliographic sources from different databases were reviewed in which different aspects of the subject were addressed, applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. Based on the results, the requirements and therapeutic demands of self-care in the patient with diabetic foot. This patient should consider sensitivity, nutrition, physical activity, harmful habits, changes in the feet, self-esteem, orientation, knowledge, energy expenditure, detrimental effects, care, and affection. In addition, nursing diagnoses and interventions are proposed based on the types of Orem's systems: totally, partially, and non-compensating, which will guide nursing actions in the management of this pathology. Keywords: Diabetic foot, Nursing, Self-care. Reviewed by: Mgs. Marcela González Robalino English Professor c.c. 0603017708
