Conocimientos de enfermería para el cuidado al paciente con pie diabético. Hospital Provincial General Docente Riobamba. abril – agosto 2018.

This research was carried out with the purpose of determining nursing knowledge, for the care of the patient with diabetic foot of the Provincial General Hospital of Riobamba. The population take was 13 nurses from the surgery service. The type of research corresponds to a qualitative and quantitative process, the design was retrospective and prospective, the sample was applied to nurses from 29 to 51 years, who were willing to collaborate, for the collection of data, a survey was used to assessing nursing knowledge. After the application of the instrument the tabulation of data was elaborated in the microsoft excel program, for its representation tables were used, the results according to the stated objectives indicate lack of knowledge in the following determinations and percentages: origin of the diabetic foot 46% , scale that assesses injury in a diabetic foot 38%, by degrees, to what extend does the scale to the diabetic foot stimate 46%, risk factors to present diabetic foot 31%, prevention measures for patients with diabetic foot 21%, 85% supplementary foot lubrication, measures recommendations for proper shoe use for patients with diabetic foot 31%. The elaboration of this research project is completed, with the design of a nursing care plan for diabetic foot and their family, which is aimed at the prevention of complications in the Provincial General Hospital of Riobamba.
