Résumé:The research entitled "Plyometrics and Vertical Jumping in the blocking in Volleyball" aims to analyze the vertical jump in students of 1 BGU parallel "C" of Unidad Educativa "Fernando Daquilema" of the city of Riobamba, for which a program of plyometric exercises was applied in 23 students in an age range of 12 to 15 years. The methodological part has a quasi-experimental type of research, where it was possible to identify and analyze the before and after program of plyometric exercises, providing a complete view of the intervention's effects on the participants' performance. At the same time, My Jump software was used for data collection, which allows for recording both the power and jump height of each participant. Therefore, a plyometric exercise program was applied that follows a structured format to maximize efficiency and minimize the risk of injury, with a duration of 12 weeks with 2 training sessions per week; each work session is focused on strengthening the muscles of the lower body to improve the vertical jump. To conclude, after the application and obtaining the results in the My Jump software and the execution of the program in students 1 BGU parallel "C" of Unidad Educativa "Fernando Daquilema," it is proven that the practice of plyometric exercises helped to improve the length of the vertical jump in blocking in Volleyball.
