Shrnutí:ABSTRACT: The objective of this research is to determine the effect of microcredits on the population's economy. The study focuses specifically on the inhabitants of the Quisapincha parish, located in the Ambato Canton of the Tungurahua Province, who have received a microcredit during the year 2022. A closed survey was applied to the partners to collect the necessary primary information of the COAC Vencedores de Tungurahua Ltda., which were classified into two groups (beneficiaries and control) considering whether or not they were creditors of the microcredit in the institution. The method used in the study consisted of a descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The main results maintain that microcredits have a positive impact on the economic situation and well-being of the inhabitants. It has been observed that microcredits also have beneficial effects in areas such as housing, health, and nutrition of borrowers and their households. Therefore, microcredit is a valuable tool in the fight against poverty, allowing vulnerable and marginalized people to improve their economic situation and achieve lasting socioeconomic development. However, it is important to remember that the effects of microcredit may vary depending on the specific context and the variables considered in each study.
