Summary:ABSTRACT: The present research work on Strategic Planning and its relationship with Financial Management in the "Unidad Educativa Santo Tomás Apóstol" in Riobamba City, 2021-2022, was conducted to establish the relationship between strategic planning and financial management of the institution. It is based on the current relevance detected in the background of ideas and theories of strategic planning and financial management previously used, with mixed methodology, which is fundamental to support and contribute to the research progress. The inductive method was used in this research work, based on concrete observations and financial data collected to reach general conclusions about the relationship between these two vital components. In addition, a mixed approach combining numerical and descriptive data analysis is adopted, employing financial techniques such as financial ratios, vertical analysis, and horizontal and descriptive analysis such as questionnaires. The relationship between financial management and strategic planning was established; the Shapiro-Wilk normality test was used where the data fit reasonably, which allowed us to apply the correlation coefficient of Person; it validates that there is a relationship of 0.861, indicating a strong relationship between the two variables within the institution during the year 2021 and 2022.
