| Resumo: | Geometry and measurement curricular block is a fairly extensive unit and at the same time a bit complicated to understand. It is due to the difficulty involved in learning a number of formulas that leads us to the knowledge of the whole subject itself. For this reason, this investigation allows applying a Microsoft Mathematics software for learning geometry and measurement block by students from Higher Basic Education at the Educational Unit "Isabel de Godín". It is a pre - experimental research design, its level was descriptive and correlational. The methodology used was a pre-test and post-test for the dependent variable and a survey for the independent variable. The last one was applied through Google Forms. The studied population was represented by students of Higher Basic Education. The sample determined 56 students from Tenth Year of Basic General Education. For the statistical process, the Wilcoxon statistical test was used, with the objective of verifying whether using the Microsoft Mathematics computer tool significantly affects the academic performance in geometry and measurement curricular block. The final results allowed concluding that there were indeed higher grades when using educational software. |
