Description
Summary:ABSTRACT: The objective of this research was to determine the influence of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodology in the development of soft skills in students of the upper basic of the "Dr. Amable Rosero León”, through a curricular space called School Projects. The quantitative method was applied, with a quasi-experimental design with a descriptive-explanatory scope, with a sample of 3 tutor teachers and 28 students, the students were distributed into two study groups: 14 in the control group (with traditional method) and 14 in the experimental group (those who worked with the PBL) of a total population of 110 people. The data was collected through two questionnaires based on the Likert scale, aimed at students and tutor teachers. The ABP was applied following 4 major phases: (1) planning, (2) organization, (3) project development or management, (4) project evaluation. Each of these phases establishes 4 steps: a) research, b) experimentation, c) creativity and, d) communication of the product, the same ones that were executed by the students during the development of the final product of the school project. Among the main results, it is highlighted that the implementation of PBL influences the development of critical thinking skills, teamwork, creativity and adaptation.
