Resumo:This research reviews the ruins of the colonial city of Villa Union. Development Liribamba city, capital of the great nation Puruhá, this paper analyzes the urban development and the daily lives of aboriginal society and the political, social and cultural organization: historical events in place as detailed. In the first part of the research the emergence and importance of Villa Union is reviewed, in colonial times, thanks to the economic development of the parcel which is characterized by the dominance of the land by one person, making this the Indian way a marginalized sector and emerging social division known as the Indian republic and the republic of whites. All this social events was accompanied by infrastructural development, the same as not resisted the earthquake of 1797, ruins have become cultural heritage of Ecuadorians. In the second part the importance of the city of Villa Union at present is reviewed. The perception of the citizens, and Cajabamba Sicalpa well as people from the city of Riobamba. Along the same lines we will review the uses which have been ruins for these purposes heritage, historical, tourist and politicians.
