Shrnutí:The purpose of this research was to determine social stereotypes and sex discrimination to students from Educational Psychology major, in National University of Chimborazo from April to August 2019. Social stereotypes a limitation within coexistence between peers which affects students verbal and psychologically. Sexual orientation discrimination stems from classroom. It is based on different ideologies, prejudices among others. Methodologically, this research employed a mixed approach since it is a non-experimental, descriptive, correlational and transversal study. Additionally, it is basic research because of the objectives and in situ. Its sample was an intentional non- probabilistic type. It included 55 students: 43 women and 12 men. The instruments for data collection were the ad hoc survey technique for both the independent variable and the dependent variable. The research instruments ratified whether there is a direct proportional relationship between social stereotypes and sex discrimination. The results showed that there were some impregnated beliefs shared socially either by their culture, religion, race, sex among or other stereotypes; thus, they created a disagreement in the classroom. The most difficult stereotype is eradicating sex discrimination. It is known for giving unequal, unfair treatment, whether male or female, which affects university life.
