Shrnutí:The main objective of this research study was to determine the interactions between cardiovascular drugs used in the main heart diseases and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for dental use. This is a bibliographic, descriptive, observational, and crosssectional study. It has been carried out through bibliographic reviews in different databases such as Pubmed, ScienceDirect, Scielo, and Google Scholar. Among the results described, it was determined that NSAIDs and cardiovascular drugs interact when used concomitantly, as they can increase the effect of cardiovascular drugs, decrease their effect, or leave them with no effect, as in the case of Clopidogrel, which suffers a potentiation in its effect when interacting with an NSAID, or decrease the effect of Atenolol. In conclusion, an inadequate prescription of NSAIDs by the dentist in patients with heart disease who use drugs to treat their illness may compromise the patient's health, depending on the case of each patient.
