Estudio hidráulico del Río Chibunga para la determinación de la conductancia entre Río-Acuífero y zonas de inundación

The secondary flowing of the Chibunga River is located inside the secondary river Chambo, the river is considered as the hydraulic limit of the Chambo aquifer, as in certain areas of the river there is an exchange of water with the aquifer. For this reason, the present investigation has as objective the hydraulic study of the Chibunga river, determining the hydraulic electric current, that is, the efficiency with which the fluids move through the soil between an aquifer-river, where in the Chibunga River, Yaruquies Bridge it was registered the higher hydraulic electric current about 0.28 and a volume of water that moves between aquifer-river about 0.064 , that is, there will be a contribution of the river to the aquifer. While in the San Juan sector, Chimborazo River the hydraulic electric current is low about 0.05 and a volume of water that moves between an aquifer-river is 0.001 therefore the contribution will be from the aquifer to the river; demonstrating that there is a hydraulic connection between aquifer-river. In addition, flood areas were determined through mathematical modeling, and according to land use, areas with short-cycle crops and eroded areas that start at Cemento Chimborazo and ends at Ricpamba Park would be affected to a greater extent. The rest of the area do not have greater impact on the effect of the flood, because according to the geomorphology of the area the water is conducted through small canyons, until arriving the outfall.
