Gaia:ABSTRACT The threat of preterm birth (TPB) constitutes a problem for Public Health due to the tremendous social, economic, and emotional impact it represents on family groups. In most cases, the onset of preterm labor is multifactorial in origin (syndrome), the most important cause of perinatal morbidity and mortality. Currently, prevention is considered the primary tool of the multidisciplinary health team. Authors determine that employed promptly; it will be possible to reduce maternal-fetal conditions derived from this pathology. Bibliographic research was carried out with the aim of analyzing available scientific evidence regarding appropriate interventions for the prevention of preterm birth. The researcher collected information from national and international scientific documents published in indexed pages such as Scielo, Pubmed, Proquest, Elsevier, Dialnet, and Medgraphic Dspace. The researcher also used official websites of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador (MSP). This study considered updated publications from 2016 to 2020; several documents were selected, of which 74 articles were taken for the respective analysis and triangulation to obtain pertinent information. According to the criteria of the different authors, the main nursing interventions were identified, and a relationship with the NANDA and NIC taxonomies was determined. The interventions that stand out are those aimed at promoting and preventing PPP and the timely recognition of the triggering risk factors for this pathology.
