Summary:A research was conducted to evaluate the level of nursing knowledge in managing polytraumatized patients in the emergency room, emphasizing the importance of timely attention to avoid serious complications. The research aimed to determine the knowledge of nursing staff on the comprehensive care of patients with multiple traumas, to implement an integral nursing approach guide for polytraumatized patients. A questionnaire was applied to professionals, analyzing their responses on different aspects related to the nursing management of polytraumatized patients, classifying the results into three knowledge parameters: High, Medium, and Low. The results revealed that most participants showed a low level of knowledge about nursing interventions in this context. Additionally, the lack of training on standardized protocols was evident, compromising the quality of care. Based on these findings, it was concluded that it is urgent to implement a Guide for Comprehensive Nursing Care for Polytraumatized Patients to improve the competence of nursing staff and ensure effective interventions in emergencies.
