Summary:This scientific article presents a detailed literature review on Sturge-Weber syndrome in the context of an underdiagnosis of infantile hemangioma. The search was conducted for published articles without language restrictions and with full-text availability, establishing the eligibility criteria for selecting the studies. Forty full-text studies were reviewed, of which only six met the eligibility criteria. The introduction presents Sturge-Weber syndrome and highlights the importance of understanding the clinical characteristics of this rare but relevant condition for the medical and scientific community. The materials and methods section describes the search strategy and eligibility criteria for study selection. It also mentions data analysis through comparative tables to facilitate the research. Regarding the conclusions, the results obtained from the literature review are presented, emphasizing the variable clinical characteristics of Sturge-Weber syndrome in patients with an underdiagnosis of infant hemangioma.
