| 要約: | Introduction: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease because it involves the disfunction of the body in responding normally to insulin balance in the blood which keeps the glucose at elevated levels which, of course, can be caused by advanced age, sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy nutrition as main factors. Objective: To describe the prevention of post-surgical complications in diabetic patients through a systematic review. Methods and techniques: Through a qualitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional research, a systematic review was carried out using the inductive method. Finally, twenty documents were considered that met the inclusion criteria according to the PRISMA method. Results: The role of the nursing staff in preventing post-surgical complications in diabetic patients included controlling glucose regulation during surgery, monitoring vital signs and hemodynamic factors, identifying warning signs, administering intravenous medical treatment, and providing the patients and their family with information on proper nutrition and permitted activities after surgery without leaving aside the relief of alleviate potential anxiety or stress. Conclusions: the importance of nursing staff in preventing complications in patients undergoing surgery with diabetes mellitus is evident. They must be sufficiently trained to take responsibility for raising awareness among patients and their families regarding post-surgical care, in addition to their role in monitoring signs, administering intravenous treatment and other responsibilities. |
