| Zusammenfassung: | This research aims to develop flavored infusions made from guayusa as an alternative to energy drinks. By studying the properties of the guayusa plant, it is determined to be an excellent substitute for energy drinks, as it provides energy alongside other notable benefits, such as antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, vitamins, minerals, theobromine, and more. Additionally, its presentation in various flavors makes it an appealing product for consumers. The study explores the roots of guayusa in-depth, its importance to indigenous communities, and the optimal consumption methods to ensure the best extraction of its properties. It also examines the production process required for this product, taking into account the various INEN standards that must be met. The results include data gathered from surveys conducted with individuals aged 18 to 25 in the city of Ambato, as well as insights from focus groups for each product variant with their respective interpretations of results. It is concluded that guayusa infusions and their variations are feasible both in terms of taste and as an alternative to energy drinks. |
