Summary: | The following Business model is aimed to demonstrate that there exists an unmet need due to the lack of equine therapy as a service for people with mental disabilities and their family environment regarding to their rehabilitation and the improvement of quality of life. Results were obtained through the application of a survey intended for the family members of people who suffer from mental disabilities, as well as some researchers and leaders of this field of study. Results showed that 98% of people surveyed would request for this type of service once is already operational, in addition they would rather attend on weekend schedules and pay up to 15 dollars per each therapeutic session. lt was possible to identify that there are no other companies offering this type of service, thus, this business model being proposed in this project, will be the first one to supply and meet the existing demand. The Project is located in the highway to Tufiño district, kilometer 7, in *La Joya” town, in the city of Tulcán. The fundamental advantage of this project relies on the competitiveness due to ease of access, availability of basic services, and nature surroundings that allows relaxation, self-confidence and enhancement of patient's self-esteem. Initial investment of the project would be around $114.000,00; by virtue of which 40% financed by the existing shareholders-partners and 60% financed by Ban Ecuador; by a 10.21 % interest rate and up to 5 years' time monthly instaliments. Feasibility of the project was determined with a NPV =524.976, 51 and an IRR = 19% higher than the TRM= 10.88%, where the benefit of project is $1.22 per dollar invested. |
