| Zusammenfassung: | This scientific article deals with the incidence of adolescent offenders who reoffend in the crime of extortion, analyzing the criminological factors of the crime whose object of study is never given in an individual manner which always develops in criminal groups, recruiting adolescents as they are aware that the penalties are minimal or normally socio - educational measures are applied. The aim of the study is to analyze the criminological factors of recidivism in adolescent offenders in the crime of extortion in the city of Ambato, in the first quarter of the year 2024. The methodology was developed under a qualitative study through interviews with a Juvenile Justice Prosecutor, four Public Defenders from the social area and three Judges from the Family, Women, Childhood and Adolescence Unit in order to understand the discernment of knowledge from the practice of legal professionals regarding the criminological factors that affect the recidivism of adolescent offenders. The results present a remarkable projection of the situation of adolescents in conflict with the law in the first quarter of 2024, showing the main criminological factors according to the economic, family, educational, poverty and addiction contexts. The interviewees agree that the main factor is poverty and inequality, as adolescents are usually from slums with high rates of delinquency and drug trafficking, with little or no access to education and family disintegration. |
