| Zusammenfassung: | This research study focuses on the effectiveness of antigen tests against SARSCoV- 2 to obtain the diagnosis of COVID-19. The study aims to describe the sensitivity of immunological tests through a systematic review. The methodology used was based on the PICO question and the search strategy was created using MESH terms and Boolean operators, which were applied for search using the PRISMA method. As a result, 40 scientific articles selected from the macro search engine (NLM) and micro search engine (BVS) were obtained. The results show that antigen tests are effective in detecting specific viral antigens during acute stages of the disease, especially in patients with recent symptoms. However, its sensitivity is relatively lower than molecular tests such as RT-PCR, limiting its use in populations with low viral prevalence. The study highlights the importance of using antigen tests as a comprehensive diagnostic strategy. It is concluded that, although antigen tests contribute to early diagnosis, it is important to continue investigating its sensitivity and specificity of COVID-19. This research contributes to the understanding of rapid tests and suggests that it be considered with other diagnostic modalities to obtain a complete approach. |
