Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | Violence against women is a fact that has existed since ancient times, where it was believed that women could not perform certain activities such as work, lead, hold positions, among others, these have been aspects that society has tried to change because women are constantly victims of acts of physical, psychological and sexual violence. Under such violence, the United Nations, together with the countries that have signed agreements, have created policies and agreements to guarantee rights such as life, physical and reproductive integrity. In Ecuador there are protocols for the prevention of violence against women, and there are also provisions in public entities that seek to prevent any type of abuse, including labor abuse. Since the entry into force of the Comprehensive Organic Criminal Code, crimes and offenses against women and members of the family were standardized and divided, it is in 2019 where the code incorporates the figure of suspension of proceedings in cases of violence against women and members of the family, The general objective was to prepare a critical legal analysis document on the lack of legal knowledge of the victims of violence against women regarding the consent of the suspension of the substantiation of the process, which will show whether women who agree to its application are aware of its effects. |
