總結: | Introduction: Colorectal surgery is performed in the lower large bowel area, may include organs such as colon, rectum and anus, having and is mainly applied as a treatment for colon cancer. Surgical site infection (SSI) is common, for which preventive measures can be taken largely the responsibility of nursing. Objective: To analyze the current scientific evidence on nursing care for the prevention of surgical site infection in colorectal surgery through a systematic review. Methods and techniques: The present is a systematic review with qualitative approach, descriptive type and with use of the PRISMA method for validation and reliability of the sources of consultation, we have chosen those that are between the years 2021 to 2024, in English, Spanish and Portuguese, also with the condition of free of charge. Results: Infections at the surgical site are part of the complications that usually occur in colorectal surgery due to the anatomical area of the procedure. The nursing professional should take extreme measures to prevent possible infections through hospital care and education of the patient and family members on hygiene and biosafety, as well as antibiotic therapy. Conclusion: Nursing staff care is indispensable to prevent SSIs with the use of protocols and checklists that guarantee compliance with hygiene and biosafety standards in the prevention of surgical site infections, as well as advanced wound healing techniques. |
