| description | This research aimed to measure the perception of judges and Ecuadorian citizens regarding the pertinence of implementing the “Faceless Judges” figure as a mechanism of safety and justice in Ecuador. For this purpose, an introduction was developed that analyzed the influence of criminal organizations in the administration of justice, therefore affecting judicial impartiality and independence. Regarding the methodology, a mixed research approach was used, addressed to comprehend and interpret the meanings and behaviors produced by the object of study. The design was non-experimental, using the survey and interview techniques, in addition to the questionnaire and the guided interview were the instruments. Similarly, a documental analysis was carried out from previous research which led to relevant results. These results allowed to confirm the hypothesis of research about the need to implement the figure of “Faceless judges”, concluding that this figure would guarantee the comprehensive protection of judges |

These results allowed to confirm the hypothesis of research about the need to implement the figure of “Faceless judges”, concluding that this figure would guarantee the comprehensive protection of judgesEl presente estudio tuvo como objetivo medir la percepción de jueces y ciudadanos ecuatorianos sobre la pertinencia de implementar la figura de los "Jueces sin rostro" como un mecanismo de seguridad y justicia en Ecuador. Para ello, se desarrolló una introducción en la que se analizó cómo el accionar de las organizaciones criminales en el país ha influido en la administración de justicia, afectando la imparcialidad e independencia judicial. En cuanto a la metodología, se empleó un enfoque de investigación mixta, dirigido a comprender e interpretar los significados y comportamientos generados por el fenómeno en cuestión. El diseño fue no experimental, de tipo transversal y de alcance descriptivo, utilizando como técnicas la encuesta y la entrevista, y como instrumentos el cuestionario y la guía de entrevista. Asimismo, se llevó a cabo un análisis documental de investigaciones previas, lo que permitió obtener resultados relevantes.
