Estado físico y emocional en pacientes con cáncer: acciones de enfermería para el cuidado integral

The physical and emotional state encompasses every sign and symptom of oncology patients, which is essential to provide quality of life and integral wellbeing The general objective was: Perform a scientific review on the physical and emotional state in cancer patients, identifying the nursing actions necessary to provide comprehensive care, being the line of research; Nursing management in health services, the methodology used was an integrated review in prism method was used original articles reviews of editorial journals and technical publications that are published from the year 2018 -2024, in English and Spanish languages are based on : Medline, Scielo, Scopus, BVS and Google academic. This search yields 40 articles with which the review was conducted, with these bibliographies it is concluded that the physical and emotional state after diagnosis the patient faces different challenges to treatment, such as adverse effects of therapies, anxiety and fear of the future and immunosuppression. Nursing care plays a role of relief, emotional support, education about the disease and treatment, pain management and management of the adverse effects of the cure. Nurses also address patient fatigue and loss of physical function through personalized interventions such as relaxation therapy, therapeutic exercise, and comfort care.
