Yhteenveto:Asperger's pathology was described as a limiting factor for the development, socialization and performance of an individual in his residence or locality in which he lives. A literature review was applied based on writings and/or files registered in Scielo, Pubmed, Latindex, Medigraphic, with a population of 28 bibliographic foundations and a sample of 15 by means of the PRISMA method. Reaching as a result that beyond the arguments about the classifications, to some extent their cognitive faculties predispose of the cooperation or participation of family members, nurses and/or other health specialists for their care. Providing optimal care under Orem's approach to individuals with Asperger's or autism requires a multifaceted view of changes in the workflow and training of the nurse, access to specialized services, and a focus on the quality of life of those affected and their caregivers, yet its broader sociological and philosophical argument is often excluded. It is concluded that nursing plays a significant role and can make a difference for patients by intervening with care in line with Orem's theory. Holistic assessment is critical as they exhibit the caregiving deficits that have great potential to favorably and/or negatively affect the evolution of the infant with Asperger's. Their discernment of the pathology and the advice to be given to the family improves with the work experience acquired.
