Description
Summary:Kidney transplantation represents a crucial therapeutic option for patients with chronic stage kidney disease, significantly improving their quality of life and survival expectancy. In the absence of a specific nursing intervention guide for the intraoperative phase of kidney transplantation, this study aimed to design a practical, evidence-based guide through a systematic review of recent scientific literature. A qualitative approach with an exploratory design was applied, supported by document analysis of sources selected for their relevance, timeliness, and academic rigor. A total of 65 documents published between 2020 and 2024 were reviewed, of which 17 directly addressed nursing interventions in the surgical context of kidney transplantation. The findings highlighted essential interventions focused on hemodynamic control, vital signs monitoring, prevention of intraoperative complications, strict adherence to surgical protocols, and effective coordination of the interdisciplinary team. Additionally, standardized nursing language NANDA, NOC, and NIC were integrated, allowing for the systematic structuring of diagnoses, expected outcomes, and nursing interventions. This guide aims to enhance the quality and safety of care for transplant patients while contributing to the professional development of surgical nursing staff.
