| Özet: | Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is an invasive procedure used for the diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases with significant risks of postoperative complications that require specialized nursing care. In Ecuador, recovery after ERCP is challenging due to the incidence of complications such as acute pancreatitis, hemorrhages, and infections. This study aims to analyze how priority nursing interventions in the immediate and medium-term postoperative phase of ERCP influence patient recovery and the prevention of complications. A systematic review was conducted in databases such as Web of Science, Scopus, and PubMed, using the PRISMA methodology for article selection, choosing 10 scientific articles that met rigorous criteria. The results show that pain management, infection prevention, constant monitoring of vital signs, and patient and family education are key interventions for detecting and controlling early complications, improving patient recovery and return to work. It is concluded that appropriate nursing intervention in the postoperative phase of ERCP is essential to optimize clinical recovery, reduce complications, and provide comprehensive patient-centered care. It is recommended that nursing training and protocols be strengthened to ensure the safety and quality of postoperative care. |
