| Shrnutí: | The presence of diabetes mellitus in patients undergoing knee arthroplasty significantly increases the risk of postoperative complications, requiring specific nursing care adapted to this condition. The objective of the study was to systematize nursing care in diabetic patients with knee prostheses, in order to strengthen timely care for possible complications arising from the surgical procedure. A systematic review with a qualitative approach was applied, through the search and analysis of 15 scientific publications from the period 2020–2025 using the Prisma method. The results determined that, although the studies reviewed include diabetic patients as part of their clinical history, in most cases, specific interventions were not designed for this population. Strategies such as preoperative education, physical exercise, early mobilization, and follow-up using technological tools were identified, which must be adapted to the particular needs of diabetic patients. It is concluded that the approach to patients requires different strategies ranging from rehabilitation programs to patient education, multidimensional planning that integrates strict glycemic control, infection prevention, adequate pain management, and pre- and postoperative education. |
