The objective of the research was to identify nursing care to prevent complications associated with parenteral nutrition. Material and method: It is qualitative research that is supported by articles published from 2021 to 2025. According to its scope, it was descriptive, according to the purpose of the investigation it was applied. Results: In the review of the 29 articles consulted, it was identified that the most relevant nursing care includes compliance with asepsis and antisepsis standards, hand washing, use of sterile material, monitoring of vital signs and the application of the correct technique in the administration of parenteral nutrition by central venous route. It is emphasized that the nursing staff has a great responsibility in the application of this care, so the staff must be properly trained and prepared to perform when applying care in the ICUs. In this way, the risk of complications associated with parenteral nutrition is reduced.
