| Streszczenie: | Introduction: The nursing professional plays a crucial role in promoting healthy lifestyles to prevent colorectal cancer, one of the leading causes of global morbidity and mortality. Factors such as inadequate diet, sedentary lifestyle, and family history influence its onset. Objective: To identify the role of the nursing professional in promoting healthy lifestyles through a systematic literature review, contributing to the prevention and early detection of colorectal cancer. Materials and Methods: A qualitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional narrative review was conducted. Information was gathered from indexed databases such as PubMed and Scielo, using PICO and PRISMA strategies, prioritizing studies from 2019. A total of 25 relevant articles were included, and non-indexed sources and pediatric studies were excluded. Results and Discussion: The findings confirmed that nursing plays a key role in the prevention and early detection of colorectal cancer. Through health education, awareness of healthy habits and the importance of screening is promoted. Additionally, support during diagnosis and treatment improves therapeutic adherence and patient quality of life. Conclusions: The nursing professional is essential in the prevention, detection, and management of colorectal cancer. Their educational and integral support contributes to improving treatment adherence and reducing the burden of the disease, making them fundamental in preventive strategies and early detection. |
