| الملخص: | Basic life support refers to a set of techniques and procedures addressed to preserve people’s lives in hospital emergency situations. The objective of this research was to develop an educational methodological plan for the enhancement of knowledge in the application of basic life support in clinic scenarios that are presented to rotating nursing interns. For this purpose, a quantitative approach methodology was used, a transversal type with a non- experimental design; similarly for obtaining a detailed and individualized synthesis of information regarding the current problem, the analytic-synthetic method was used. The population of this research included the rotating nursing interns of Uniandes University, Tulcan Campus, with a total of 28 interns. For the gathering of information and relevant data, a survey was carried out and its instrument consisted of a questionnaire, made up of previously validated questions. The most relevant results showed that 52% of the population theoretically know the definition of cardiorespiratory arrest, 24% identify the activation of the intra-hospital chain of survival in an orderly way, therefore 35% know how to perform the correct sequence of execution of cardiorespiratory resuscitation maneuvers, moreover 39% knows the relation compression- ventilation during the performing of basic life support. These data allowed to show the deficit of knowledge and thus the relevance to creating an Educational methodological plan to increase the level of knowledge and the development of skilled techniques, as well. |
