Achoimre: | This research consists of three chapters, each of which is explained by summarizing its development. Visual communication is currently vital in businesses and, of course, in educational institutions. Through technology, communication has evolved. Educational units in the city of Tulcán experience a large influx of people, making signage vital to providing the necessary information. This project, to create a signage system for Tulcán's educational units, arose from the need to provide a better internal visual appearance and communication. The first chapter explains the origin of visual communication and how it influences providing direction through colors, typography, and pictograms, graphics, or icons. It also explains the evolution of signage to signage, where several aspects influence it, such as environmental issues, personality, and the intended audience. The theoretical foundations of visual communication and signage help resolve the problem of excuses for signage. The second chapter discusses the sector where the research is being conducted and the application of methodology and techniques such as the survey, which helps obtain information through the analysis of respondents' responses. Likewise, expert analysis determines the feasibility of the project, as none of the institutions have a complete signage system. The final chapter discusses the development of the proposal, which outlines the process for implementing the different steps of the signage system for educational units. It will be implemented at the Las Acosta Educational Unit. The graphic system is developed with the information obtained, such as the institution's colors, areas, services, and all the necessary requirements. The signage locations are standardized through a signage manual, which will allow the internal image to be maintained in the future if new signage cards are implemented |
