By investigating fetal death nursing care, nursing care is improved. Objective: To interpret the nursing care at foetal death by means of a literature review. Methodology: This is a descriptive qualitative research, based on the PRISMA statement and PICO method. Databases such as Medline, Scopus, Google Scholar, Dialnet and Scielo from 2018 were consulted. Results: The need for focused and humanised care that considers the psychological and spiritual dimensions of bereavement is highlighted. The importance of specific training in the management of perinatal bereavement and the development of competencies in relation to emotional care, as well as knowledge of applicable theories, is highlighted. In addition, the emotional impact on nursing is evidenced. Conclusion: The importance of strengthening the competencies of nursing staff in the care and emotional management of perinatal bereavement is revealed. Finally, it is essential to have protocols and models of care based on scientific evidence in order to provide better support and care to affected families. |

En Ecuador, se registraron 1.438 muertes fetales en 2022, lo que representa un aumento del 3,06% respecto a 2021. Esta situación no solo afecta a las familias si no que, también al personal de enfermería. Al investigar los cuidados de enfermería en el óbito fetal se mejorar la atención de enfermería. Objetivo: interpretación de los cuidados de enfermería en el óbito fetal mediante revisión bibliográfica. Metodología: es una investigación de tipo cualitativa descriptiva, basado en la declaración PRISMA y método PICO. Se consultaron bases de datos como Medline, Scopus, Google Académico, Dialnet y Scielo desde el año 2018. Resultados: Se resaltan la necesidad de brindar un cuidado centrado y humanizado, que considere las dimensiones psicológicas y espirituales del duelo. Se destaca la importancia de la formación específica en el manejo del duelo perinatal y el desarrollo de competencias con relación al cuidado emocional, así como el conocimiento de teorías aplicables. Además, se evidencia el impacto emocional en enfermería. Conclusión: Se revela la importancia de fortalecer las competencias del personal de enfermería en el cuidado y manejo emocional del duelo perinatal.
