Its actions have been criticized, as they have fallen short of expectations, both in terms of the powers granted by law and its performance in practice. This has affected access to justice and the protection of rights enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador, resulting in public dissatisfaction and a potential lack of rights protection. The objective of the research was to analyze the effectiveness of adequate judicial protection as a mechanism for the protection of constitutional rights of the Ombudsman's Office of Santo Domingo, whose actions and competencies have been conditioned by various circumstances such as the lack of specialized personnel and budgetary limitations to guarantee access to justice and the execution of sentences. A mixed quantitative and qualitative approach was employed, using a non-experimental cross-sectional design and scientific and interpretive methods to examine empirical and legal data to understand the complexity of the judicial system and the evolution of the concept of judicial protection. The results highlight the need to strengthen staff training to improve the quality of services and thus ensure the adequate protection of constitutional rights by facilitating equal access to justice, emphasizing the importance of implementing measures to strengthen the guarantee of constitutional rights in state institutions. |
