The objective of this research was to diagnose the financial sensitivity of credit unions in segment 1 in order to improve financial risk management and promote equitable access to financial services. The methods to be used were the following: The methodology applied was qualitative and quantitative research, non - experimental design, descriptive study, Analytical - synthetic method, Induction - deduction method, Historical - logical method, methods of the empirical level of knowledge, inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. The results obtained were the analysis and evaluation of the possible consequences or benefits that arise when segment one cooperatives implement effective credit segmentation practices. Based on this, the discussion established that segment 1 cooperatives tend to serve clients with diverse profiles, from individuals and families to small and medium - sized enterprises. Finally, the diagnosis of the financial sensitivity of segment 1 credit unions was concluded and represents a significant step towards improving financial risk management and promoting equitable access to financial services.
