| 要約: | This research was carried out regarding preventive strategies in adults with obesity in 2024, in the Province of Imbabura; among the Afro-American population located in Chalguayacu-Juncal, in Pimampiro canton; and whose objective was addressed to develop preventive strategies in Afro American adults so that to diminish the risks and complications that obesity entitles. The methodological part was focused and applied under a blended approach, combining quantitative and qualitative paradigms, based on an action research and non-experimental type of cross sectional design; similarly, the scope was exploratory, descriptive correlational, field and bibliographic. The instruments applied were from a theoretical approach: analytic –synthetic, historic-logic, and in the empiric method the scientific observations, as well as the documentary analysis that led to comprehend the current nature of the problem by the data collection that consisted of a proposal, using the pre and post survey; all which of them led to obtaining the following results: 38% of the Afro-Ecuadorian adults surveyed claimed that their conditions are due to lack of physical activity, 22% answered that is due to poor eating habits. These results determined the prevalent risk factors of the complications inherent to obesity, so to give solutions by offering workshops, talks, brochures, dance therapy, and aerobics, alongside with a demonstration of healthy nutrition, all with the ultimate objective of implementing preventive strategies about the risk factors associated to obesity in adults. Finally with the post-survey it was demonstrated that more than 60% of adults acquired information on the subject, its causes, complications and the adequate way to treat obesity. |
