| Özet: | Introduction: Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is a clinically, functionally, and radiologically successful procedure for treating degenerative diseases and injuries caused by trauma that damage the hip. Hip fractures are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the elderly, primarily due to falls and osteoporosis. The main causes of surgical reinterventions in patients with total hip replacements are largely related to home care. Therefore, the challenge for health services is to guide family care and self-care. Objective: To analyze home care in patients with total hip prostheses through a systematic review. Methodology: A rigorous systematic review was conducted to summarize scientific evidence from recognized database research, with inclusion criteria and considering PRISMA methodology. Results: The review shows the negative impact of inadequate management of home care interventions for patients with total hip prostheses, potentially causing significant complications such as infection, prosthesis mobilization, and prosthesis rupture due to poor nursing care practices. Conclusion: Total hip arthroplasty is a clinical procedure, functional, and radiologically successful in treating degenerative diseases and injuries caused by trauma damaging the hip. Nursing care for these patients after surgery is essential for prompt reintegration into society. |
