Izvleček:trategic management is one of the tools that is currently gaining a representative boom in different organizations in order to persevere over time. This article presents the results of twelve questions that allow us to visualize the current administrative management of the Diocese of Ambato and, based on this, to propose solutions to certain shortcomings. General summaries of the institution are emphasized, such as: indicators of the economic situation, functioning of the hierarchical structure, strengths and weaknesses of the entity, as well as processes that stimulate and influence innovation, contribution to the strategic plan, application of performance evaluation instruments to personnel and use of technological tools for organizational strengthening. In this context, the general objective of this research is to propose a strategic management improvement plan for the administrative strengthening of the Diocese of Ambato. Qualitative and quantitative methodological strategies were applied, in addition to a survey as the main methodological tool, with which it was possible to evaluate the results obtained and also to better understand the reality in which the organization finds itself. Finally, in this research, the results are presented in statistical gra phs with their respective analysis and interpretation, with which it was possible to denote several shortcomings in the administrative process of the Diocese. Thus, the conclusion is to promptly implement a strategic plan in the organization that will allow it to structure objectives, goals and organizational values that can lead the Diocese towards organizational success.
